HUMAN FOOTPRINT

Did you know that The Human Footprint is the mark all 6 billion of us make on our planet. Think about what you use, consume and discardin an average lifetime. For over the last decay human have left their mark on 83 percent of Earth's surface. Human have been using natures service faster than what Earth can renew. Our footprint are varied around the world. Human footprint causes many wild life suffer by throwing trash in the ocean killed many mammals and fishes. More importantly the water become disease. Energy and transportation are one of the most use up today.

Here are some of the things that we can do to save Earth atmosphere.

  • Pick up trash in the ocean, around your house and school.

  • Recycle any plastic.

How can i and my family reduce energy usage?
Well this are the steps that we follow everyday to reduce any electricity and air condotioner.
1. We unplug seldom-used appliances, like an extra refrigerator in the basement or garage that contains just a few items. You may save around $10 every month on your utility bill.
2. we unplug our chargers when we're not charging. Every house is full of little plastic power supplies to charge cell phones, digital cameras, cordless tools and other personal gadgets. We keep them unplugged until we need them.
3. We use sunlight wisely. During the heating season, leave shades and blinds open on sunny days, but close them at night to reduce the amount of heat lost through windows. Close shades and blinds during the summer or when the air conditioner is in use or will be in use later in the day.
4. Set the thermostat on your water heater between 120 and 130 degrees. Lower temperatures can save more energy, but you might run out of hot water or end up using extra electricity to boost the hot water temperature in your dishwasher.

How do we use appliances efficiently?
1. Wash only full loads in your dishwasher, using short cycles for all but the dirtiest dishes. This saves water and the energy used to pump and heat it. Air-drying, if you have the time, can also reduce energy use.
2. In your clothes washer, set the appropriate water level for the size of the load; wash in cold water when practical, and always rinse in cold.
3. After you're done with everything don't forget to turn off all the electricity. That way you can save more energy and electricity.

How to save more water?
  • Before you lather up, trade up your current shower head to a water-efficient shower head such as the Waterpik® EcoFlow®, which helps reduce water consumption by up to 40%. Water-conserving shower heads are inexpensive, easy to install, and can save a family of four up to 17,000 gallons of water a year.

  • Avoid letting the water faucet run while you brush your teeth, wash your face, or shave and you can save up to 4 gallons of water a minute. That’s 200 gallons a week for a family of four.

  • Two of the highest uses of water in the house are the shower and toilet. When possible, take showers instead of a bath and consider washing your face or brushing your teeth while in the shower.

  • Fix leaking faucets and toilets that flush themselves. Fixing a leak can save 500 gallons of water each month.
